T: Tom R: Rachel
Tom and Rachel are watching the news about an approaching typhoon at home.
T: Did you hear that? The typhoon’s getting stronger, and it’s headed straight for us.
R: I know. They say this one will likely cause a lot of damage. The government has already posted a sea warning.
T: That means there’ll be a land warning soon, and the typhoon will probably hit the island within the day.
R: We should start preparing right away. We don’t want to repeat the mistake we made last year. Remember when we forgot to close one of the windows when a typhoon hit last summer?
