The work of perfumers attracts many people. The job may seem fun and creative, but becoming a successful perfumer requires a great deal of knowledge, training, and experience.
Without a solid understanding of chemistry, it is nearly impossible to become a perfumer. Perfumers must know how to work with the materials that make up each fragrance. This is why many of them hold degrees in chemistry, biology, or related fields of science before entering the industry.
